As per usual, the professionalism at this restaurant is top tier and the service is extremely friendly and prompt. It is a family owned business so the staff treat the customers like family and not like patrons. Inside you can feel the hospitality and exuding love that the team have for people. I ordered goat biryani, butter chicken, naan, and basmati rice during this visit, and it was absolutely amazing. Very delicious and filling. I took home a to-go box for later on and couldn't wait to smash it. If I said it before, I'll say it again, this is my favorite Indian jawn in all of the Bay. I will always come back.

The absolute best Indian food restaurant in SF I have ever been to. Rita is also amazing!

Tried a dish that's not in my usual rolodex (anywhere) - the lamb curry - which was definitely a bit over salted (fixed with some yogurt at home) with generous amounts of tender lamb. In the restaurant's defense, they did recommend the goat over the lamb ;) the flavor of the curry was great, it's a shame to have had it overpowered by so much salt. To the awesome team here: please consider under-salting instead. Your flavors speak for themselves. Always a generous amount of naan in the order. I'll try the goat next time and would love to try this lamb again (if the recipe adjusts).

Best Indian food EVER!! Not one dish we didn't like and we ordered a lot. Naan came out piping hot, curries amazing/complex and several types we don't see at other places. Met the owner Rita who was welcoming and helped to round out our dinner choices to make for the perfect meal. Can't sing enough praises for this new find!

Explosive flavors and unique combinations prevail at Keeva, located in South SF on a popular restaurant street/area. As with anywhere in SF, parking is tricky and you may need to circle around for street parking since spots in front of the restaurant are usually taken. But it's usually not more than a 5 minute walk (just be prepared to parallel park). Love the ambiance here and the food even more. Keeva serves traditional Indian cuisine - curries, naan, tandoori chicken - with some extra flair. As a non-salad person, their salad was my favorite thing and I don't think I've ever felt that way at another restaurant. Great service and the portions are huge. Their chai is also to die for. I'd recommend coming here a little earlier for dinner since it fills up quickly. Come alone, with friends, or on a date - you'll leave happy!

I came here for lunch. The place was empty, and we needed to wait for someone to sit us down, probably because they had opened not too long beofre. We ordered the chettinad goat curry, half tandoori chicken, masala chai, and garlic naan, all with medium spice level. It took some time to get our dishes, again likely because they had just opened. They did mention ahead of time that some items, like the chai, would take longer. After 20 minutes or so, everything except the chai came out together. * Chettinad goat curry: 5/5. It was excellent, with strong spices and very flavorful small chunks of meat. * Garlic naan: 4.5/5. It had a nice garlic flavor and was on the thinner side with crispy edges. However, I personally prefer the soft, pillowy naan. * Tandoori chicken: 4/5. It was nicely cooked and came with tamarind and mint chutney; I slightly preferred the tamarind chutney for its sweetness, which complemented the spices. It also came with a side salad that had a light, sweet mustard dressing. * Masala chai: 4.5/5. It was very traditional and tasted good, though it was kind of small for the price, and I prefer mine slightly sweeter and creamier. The service was very good; they were very nice and treated us well. Overall, this was one of the best Indian places I've had in SF, and I would come here again.

Maybe some of the best Indian I've tried in the city. The naan is fluffy, the curries are seasoned and the staff are a delight. Our party of 3 came in for a Friday dinner and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. We started off with the fried fish appetizer which came in a pretty generous portion. We especially loved dipping the fish into the goat curry. We were recommended to the goat curry as well as the butter chicken both to which were solid choices. The goat was tender and the sauce was full of depth and flavor. We soaked up all the saucy goodness with two orders of naan and one order of rice. Think we got too excited as the dishes came out and forgot to take pics. Will be back for more goat curry!

Starting off, I was pleasantly surprised to find such great Indian cuisine in the inner Richmond district! Food: we ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, a half side of rice, and garlic naan. The saucy butter chicken was my favorite flavor! It's sweet, creamy, and even goes great with plain rice. It is a generous portion that could last two meals. The tikka masala was equal in size to the butter chicken but is a more savory flavor. The chicken biryani was the best of both worlds, with deliciously seasoned and flavored rice and plenty of protein. The garlic naan is worth getting, nice amount of garlic on top and fluffy in texture. Pairs well with the sauce in the butter chicken and tikka masala. The half side of rice is a large portion, which was great to share between 3. It was not terribly busy on a weekday evening, we only waited about 20 minutes for our food. Atmosphere: there is a strong incense smell as soon as we walked in, which may be overpowering to those who are sensitive to it. The lighting is nice, tables are already set. Order and pick up to-go at the front, or seat yourself if dining in. Service: very attentive and kind, multiple employees checked over time to refill our water if they saw it empty. I was particularly impressed that our server gave us different sized to-go containers perfectly suitable to the type and amount of food left without us specifying! (soup containers and boxes). Great attention to detail! There are some parking meters nearby.
